So you may be wondering why we have a class blog... Or probably more to the point, why I am requiring, as a part of your grade, that you contribute to this blog? For the next four months we are going to be thinking a lot about the relationship between photography and painting, and it will be a tough, complex, and at times confusing topic to examine. I wanted to create a low-stakes space where we could all share our comments, concerns, and questions about the material we cover in class and perhaps even material we encounter beyond the space of the classroom that might relate to our subject. I want to encourage you to use this blog as much as possible and to hopefully not think of it as just a class assignment but a resource. Post on anything and everything you would like, just please remember to respect one another! Looking forward to an exciting term.
